Pressure - A friend or Foe?10/24/2019 Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 6:6
"But godliness with contentment is great gain" Lesson Text: Matthew: 13:3-8, 18 - 23 Lesson Introduction Pressure is the amount of force applied to an rea on the surface of an object. At one time or the other, we have all had too much to eat leading to discomfort - pressure. When you continue to fill a balloon with air, at some point the balloon will burst because the pressure created by the air inside is too much for it to withstand. Just like inanimate objects can be under pressure, humans are subject to pressure as well, however, the pressure we experience as humans has its roots in what we feel (emotion) leading to physical effects on our minds and bodies (stress) Discussion 1.) Why did the seeds that fell on the ground fail to produce fruit? 2.) Why did the seeds that fell among the rock fail to produce fruit? 3.) Why did the seeds that fell among the thorns fail to produce fruit? 4.) Why did the seeds that fell on good soil produce fruit? Conclusion "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." ... John 16:33b
